CyberSec First Responder: threat detection and response

What the course prepares people for

CyberSec First Responders are the first line of response against cyber-attacks that can cost your organisation valuable time and money.

The course teaches students to analyse threats, design secure computing and network environments, defend networks proactively, and respond to and investigate cyber-security incidents.

Five days of classroom training.

Prerequisites

At least two years of exposure to computer networks, information security, information technology or a related field is recommended.

Certification

CyberSec First Responder. The exam runs three to four hours and carries over 150 questions.

What it builds

CFR develops the baseline knowledge necessary to work in network security, particularly in mitigating information security risk proactively through a sound security posture.

It allows organisations to develop the skills necessary to create an information assurance lifecycle process, which is key to sound security practice, and enforces an understanding of every aspect of network security — from designing secure infrastructure to auditing it to ensure it keeps working.

Alongside security best practice, CFR develops the skills needed to operate within a security team, with the emphasis on threat assessment and incident response.
